Had a blast horseback riding today with Robin. We were on the horses for 2 hours with only a guide. It was a perfect day, about 80 and sunny with a slight breeze. Then Robin and John came over to our place for dinner. Tomorrow we go a Mariner game and golf on Thurs. Keeping busy is the name of the game.
We are loving our time here and looking for a place for next year.

Hi,
We are sure enjoying our place in AZ. We have been busy playing golf, Ric had 2 friends, Steve and Willie, down from SEA for 5 days, so we were busy with them.
One night we went to a hockey game to see the Phoenix Coyotes play the Edmonton Oilers, we saw a 3-2 win for Phoenix.
Today we will go to see the Mariners play and hopefully see some of the regulars that will be starting in the real season.
I went to the LPGA to watch the professional ladies play golf. I was really looking forward to watching Paula Creamer play golf and she withdrew the day before competition. It is still so inspiring to watch them hit the ball 250 yards or more, but also see the best of them be in the sand traps and also Lorena's ball roll into the water and she had to take a drop.
Tomorrow I will go stay with Robin overnight and then on Tues. we are going horseback riding in the mountains by her house.
It seems like time is going by fast. We really like the house we picked, but are in a part of Surprise where it takes more than 30 minutes just to get to the freeway, that is not good when we want to be going places almost every day. If we come here next year, we will rethink the location.
The weather has been spectacular, in the 80's most days and sunny. If we were to complain, it has been a little windy, stirring up the dust. But when we see the weather in the rest of the country, there is nothing to complain about here.
That is it for today.
Cheers,
Brenda*

I am new at this and I don't know what number I am on, for posting this. I will try to add pictures, but that may come later.
Ric and I are in Surprise, AZ. and have been here almost a week. We have a great little house with a pool and a bar and TV outside. It has come in handy with the basketball games on.
We have spent time with Robin and John and have done several hikes with them. It just feels great to be out in the fresh air and sunshine. Every day has been in the high 80's, no complaints here.
Several evenings we got together with Ric's buddies from Renton High school. That was a lot of fun listening to them reminisce.
We have played golf several times. Today I beat Ric on the back nine with a 42. The greens are really fast around here.
We have been to a Mariner game. Yesterday I dropped Ric off to see the Oakland game and I met Robin for the day. We went to Taliesin West, the school founded by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was fascinating. He was a brillian man. Then we headed for the Desert Botanical garden to see a Dale Chihuly display in the cactus gardens. It was spectacular in the afternoon and then we stayed to see it all lit up at night. What a fun day.
We have many more plans coming up, I think every day.
I will try to keep a few things posted here, I'm not sure about pictures.
